Something that'd be nice is being able to click a link to toots and profiles from other instances from within our own, and it'd let us see that toot within our instance, so we don't have to jump through hoops to follow and interact with them.

@emma I might look into those other platforms and see what they're like at some point.Pasting into search bar is what I've been doing. Doesn't feel like it should be this unintuitive but oh well.

@stux This almost happened to me yesterday! Well, okay, nothing quite like this, a lot more mundane, but I accidentally had my friend's birthday noted as both the 28th *and* the 29th and almost didn't catch the error and was about to wish them a happy birthday a day early.
