@Kay Thanks for that, yes I know about Funkwhale, I used to do research for fediverse.party :) Resonate is a streaming music host that integrates a payment system, rather than a streaming software project like Funkwhale or Peertube.

@strypey Sounds like garbage. That's exactly the opposite of what UBI is. UBI is an economic model to ensure everyone gets some compensation **regardless of their contribution**.

@stevenroose Yeah calling it UBI was probably unwise and liable to create confusion. But if you read the original quote (which I had to bowdlerize somewhat to fit 500chars), it sounds like they're asking the right questions and trying to do the right thing by the musicians using their streaming platform.
