       I said it the other day but Twitch may ban/suspend individual users but they are terrified to do anything to all the big creators at once, they know that right now XQC, Mizkif and every other streamer abusing the tag has a contract from YouTube that they could sign at any moment.

       Twitch only exists as a streaming platform because it built an audience before YouTube started offering streaming and it can collapse from under them at any moment.

       @BrodieOnLinux Peertube supports livestream use it instead! People now have more choices than ever and yet they choose bad alternatives :/ (Twitch, YouTube, Twitter, Google Search)

       @BrodieOnLinux Iirc youtube had livestreaming capabilities quite early on but it was terrible or very resitricted to some users.Think they'r still the only one that allows anyone to go back to an earlier point in a livestream and watch.Found Twitch (then justin.tv) back when Totalbiscuit did Starcraft 2 commentary,  some things has gotten better but also many bads.but Twitch did a really good job on the monetisation via subscriptions and gifting of it and donations are done well, afaik.

       @Unairedspecifics If YouTube decided to just copy Twitch's streaming tools it would be game over for Twitch. Slowly YouTube is catching up with superchats, memberships, channel emotes, but there's still so much they need to do.

       @BrodieOnLinux True, but somehow i would not be surprised if Youtube messed up somewhere.LTT stopped using superchats because the backlog would suddenly dissapear or full messages not show up,in addition to it randomly break/log him out.In the long term if anyone copied Twitch's features and made the UX streamlined and easy to use it for novices and power users it could be a big hit.Think Twitch has lost their way somehwat in regards to GUI/UX it isnt consistant or works as predicted.

       @BrodieOnLinux I commented about this with some people. Twitch doesn’t actually care. They will only take action if it will affect them in the pockets or if it strictly breaks TOS. It’s a dang shame that this is getting abused and the higher numbered streamers are just calling it “gate keeping”
