What if Hitler weren’t afforded that freedom. An autodidact will do what they can despite obstacles, but how much they’re allowed is also relevant.I think there’s an important base level that most can reach (and should) unless they’re functionally retarded and then afford mechanisms for people to make there way to the next level as their ability and desire dictates. Public libraries used to be a help with that, but those are getting as bad as public schools.I still read a shit-ton of the old pulps and those were mass market media and quite well written and pre jewish media dominance.

The catches were all lining up husbands before graduation, usually either from money or, at worst, with petroleum engineering jobs out of somewhere like Rice. There were also some who weren't serious, they sang their way into school to party for five years and you aren't interested, trust me.

I doubt much harm come from reading practical-technical guides, or books on natural history for instance. As much as popular fiction is distasteful, I’m not sure that it’s substantially different then what might emerge as an oral culture in an otherwise equivalent setting. If the objection is to pop-philosophy, it’s probably easier to simply not publish pop-philosophy. That isn’t to say that mass literacy can’t be negatively viewed as a historical phenomenon, since mass literacy is a precondition for mass consumption of the subset of written material that might have had negative effects, only that just because something was achieved by varying some broad parameter doesn’t mean that reversing that variation is necessarily the only, or best, way to revert the effects previously achieved. You are probably correct about mass education however. It seems mostly pointless beyond a fairly basic level and probably ought to put more emphasis on physical conditioning.

@DK_Dharmaraj @Jamahiriya Mass literacy was not bad for the jews, so you can't say that mass literacy is a bad thing in general. Israel has 3.01 birthrate, and the jews that spend all their youth in yeshivas reading their holy books still have 6+ children. The problem if anything was that gentile society was less literate than jewish society, and once the average gentile became literate the jews were able to have outsized influence on them.
