       @coth That's certainly a neat idea.In the past I've found the quality (charge capacity & longevity) to be sadly lacking in third-party batteries. Plus, I note there was no pricing for the Nitecore.I'd also like to see universal batteries. In some ways, I miss the convenience of all devices using AA batteries.

       @fitheach Third party batteries in certain formats have got waaay better. Still plenty of cheap garbage about though.These are just the ones in the drawer right now....Bonus for the fact that they are all *roughly* the same shape. Often with embossed names that are hard to read in poor light.Standardised batteries would be amazing. Our intelligent charger can charge from AAA to 26650, one gadget any lithium rechargeable.But sadly, that would be a pipe dream.Charge ports/circuits on batteries is the only real way of combatting vendor lock in by battery shape.Until the do challenge/response to stop 3rd party batteries like coffee machines and their ilk 🤷‍♀️

       @coth I would probably have just as many chargers had I not sold them along with the cameras.Standardised batteries could only come about due to legislation, and then only on a European wide scale.I also have concerns about the longevity of micro-USB connectors. At least, if they were on the battery a failure only renders the battery useless.

       @fitheach Those are the chargers for the cameras we *haven't* moved on 🤣 USB C is probably the *best* type of connection as a compromise.You are totally right though, only if forced by legislation will manufacturers conform to any useful standard 🤦‍♀️
