I perfectly understand and agree that regular Russians shouldn’t suffer consequences for the choices of a mafia controlled government, but if whatever their government (or someone else’s) does there are never consequences, how there would ever be change? In the end there are 140 millions Russians, if they really wanted change they can get it, so I guess some of the blame should be placed on them. It’s not easy to decide and I’m not saying this would be fair, but it’s real.

@alan So your opinion is that if 140 million Russians are somehow unable to change the mafia controlled government who presumes to rule them, then we should do whatever it takes to give them the power to do so.

@cy it’s more a matter of willingness than being able to, but yes as I was saying it’s more a provocation, and I’m perfectly aware that’s most likely not the way to go, but still nation states are embedded in a system that eventually leads to wars, if the wars are not between nations anymore what do we need states for? What does it mean to be Russian? Or Ukrainian? Or Canadian? Etc.

And here we are: https://www.newsweek.com/russian-students-turn-traitor-teachers-who-speak-against-ukraine-war-1696747?amp=1This is definitely an issue, if actions don’t have consequences it’s a free for all.

@alan Except that they're being deceived, threatened and killed for protesting the war, so can you really say that they're willing and able? Nations are awful, but the people involved are just people. It doesn't turn them into monsters, it's a system that takes away the power of the people to stop monsters from using them all to achieve their agenda.

@cy @alan there isn't a great way to spear elites to death. they tend to thoroughly protect themselves with the uninvolved that you have to get through first. always been like this.this is, however, all a stage play. the violence is real but putin is a WEF ally and this has been a very useful shindig to trash everyone's energy supply immediately after the economies were destroyed by the covid narrative.
