I'm looking at CI/CD software. Does anyone have experience with/opinions on BuildBot or GoCD?Also, do you know of any other good, actually open source, CI/CD systems?

@urusan we use ArgoCD at work. Didn't go too far into it yet, seems to be really good.

@urusan Buildbot is ok, but you configure it by writing/adapting a python program.I haven't found a good solution for automatically downloading/building releases that are done by tarball. It's great for software that is available by git/other repos though.

@bjb If you have arbitrary control via a Python script, couldn't you write a Python script to do the download and build you want?

@urusan (Trying out a new mastodon client for the first time, hopefully won't have any glitches.) Yes, but you have to keep changing the name or URL of the file to download. I haven't run across a project yet where that is predictable and therefore easily automatable. I have to admit, I haven't looked very hard. I'm adding projects in sw repos for now.
