Two weeks, three states go “Constitutional Carry,” soon you won’t need no stinking license to carry concealed in Alabama (1/1/23), Ohio, and now Indiana (both this summer). That brings the total to 24 states: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Constitutional_carryAnyone want to bet the 2020 BLM summer of love and what’s continued has some connection to this? For non-Americans, we have 50 total states, and of course our modern slave states are moving in the opposite direction. Don’t pay much attention to them now, but I noticed Washington state is banning magazines > 10 rounds. It’s biggest city of Seattle is getting so dangerous Amazon which is headquartered there is moving workers out of it.

@ThatWouldBeTelling Individual states also need to start passing legislation that renders the NFA unenforceable.

@admin No state is even close to going full Fort Sumter, but some are trying a second, stronger, or really something more than just political posturing themselves as RKBA sanctuaries. The first set claimed to for example nullify the NFA, but none of the states lifted a finger to help residents who depending on that when the ATF came knocking. The current set may throw up roadblocks with law officers participating with the Feds on any Federal gun law enforcement. You of course have to read the fine print, for example without a private right of action to sue they’re toothless, local prosecutors aren’t going to charge the local cops who are part of the local political-judicial complex.

@ThatWouldBeTelling Down here in TN, they are attempting to pass a Bill that if you take an advanced CC class, a card holder would be considered Law Enforcement in the event of an active shooter. IE: taking away liability BS if you’re the one to put them down :)

@koba_ape_leader That sounds like pure political posturing. The Blue Wall of Silence, the special relationships between cops, prosecutors and judges etc. all depend on the cops actually being cops, not having a label slapped on them by the legislature claiming they are.See neighboring Kentucky where the grand jury wasn’t allowed to act as one on the murder of Breonna Taylor, and the single officer entangled was charged with endangering neighbors, for which he was just found innocent.Back to Tennessee, as a for instance, if we’re just sticking to the plain letter of Supreme Court case law there’s no difference between cops and citizens stopping an active shooter or any other thing like that where the perp is threatening lives of great bodily harm.

@ThatWouldBeTelling Could be completely political posturing. Politicians everywhere have a knack for doing that. I’m all for it. Seeing as how I moved to TN from Chicago, you know, where guns are illegal but for some weird reason gang-bangers have them any way, and as someone who has been and is proficient with a firearm, I believe that if anyone also wants to be trained an efficient, why not help out law enforcement? Maybe the degenerates would be less likely to pull the stunts they do.
