I keep hearing russians complaining that collective punishment is not fair. How dare you?! Your problems are insignificant compared to children being murdered. At best - it's inconvenience. So, shut the fuck up!

@jb most russians don't support the war, Putin is a dictator. There's a lot of poor people in Russia that will be even more poor due to the sanctions. I don't see that fair at all. (I hate war and I hate Putin, I'm not pro-russia at all)

@sotolf @jb have sanctions stopped the war? I don't think so. I'm just saying that it isn't the people fault and economical sanctions punish the poor, the ones that struggle to buy basic products.

@werwolf I empathize with the opinion that ordinary people are not to blame, but I do not agree with it. I've followed russian TV pretty closely up until 2014. The amount of WW2 themes movies and TV shows on air and produced was astounding. It almost seemed like public opinion were being engineered in preparation of something. People have folklorised regime and corruption - so far so that it became on of russian idiosyncrasies. 1/2@sotolf
