So I'm chewing over the idea of doing some lo-fi gaming content. Stuff that doesn't require a lot of money or high end gear to play.Perhaps geared towards older, casual gamers who might play once a week or a few times a month.Older games, low-end games, indie games and maybe the occasional thing on Stadia.

It would have the advantage of not having to jump on every gaming trend just to stay relevant.*ahem* Steam Deck *ahem*Honestly, I'm glad the Steam Deck seems to be a pretty awesome ambassador for Linux gaming, though.

@ChrisWere yeah sure, go for it 👍 I'm honestly tired of all this hype for new games. Let's take Elden Ring as an example. I'm sure it's a great game and all but I didn't have time yet to play Dark Souls 2 and 3, not to mention Bloodborne series. I played first Bloodborne at my friend's house and I love it, so I know I'm going to finish it before I play Elden Ring. And with current GPU prices and accessibility...I mean...who even has time for all this new "crap"?

@jjurek My thoughts exactly.I've seen a bit of footage on Elden Ring. I honestly don't see what the fuss is about. Maybe I'm mellowing in my middle age, lol.

@ChrisWere I like the idea, especially for older games!I stopped playing video games in 2014, so it’s always enjoyable for me watching someone playing a game I spent countless hours on.

@ChrisWere This is probably biased AF since I had an amiga 600 when I was wee. An amiga on android how-to and play through of the classics would be great. Amiga vs dos ports like the lost vikings or lemmings would show the greatness of the amiga sound and community driven ports

@ChrisWere Honestly, I find it very hard to justify bleeding edge gaming. Even if I got a fancy new GPU, I'd probably just play something old or an indie game with pixel graphics. Hardly graphical behemoths.APUs with integrated graphics are getting pretty darn good and can be a good choice for people who want to play games but don't care about the latest releases. With the sheer amount of saturation in the gaming space, it's just as easy to play older stuff and have decades of games to play.

@ChrisWereIn French @Manchot_Joueur is doing something similar. To save energy for the planet, his videos are in 540p.Your point of view is more " hardware requirement" as I understand but I real you have a similar goal.

@ChrisWereI don't really remember. I think it was the largest SD so viewers can still get a since of what is happening..720p was considered HD at some point.And yeah minimizing file size to transfers and store on :peertube: & :youtube:. That way it minimize his ecologic impact.@Manchot_Joueur
