Selfhost your S3-storage easily with Garage:https://garagehq.deuxfleurs.fr/It took me 2 minutes to create a bucket and put some data on it.

@seleaIt's the first time I hear about this project. What's the benefit of running it instead of MinIO?

@hamburghammer It is absolutely much lighter to run compared to minio - a single small binary.

@selea Thanks for sharing. I’ve been looking for something more lightweight than MinIO. Time to do some tinkering…

@selea I don't get it. If I host this, where is my data? Is it spread between my node and others' as well?Do I host data for other/random nodes?

@selea ok, so the use-case is to create *my own* distributed storage amongst various of *my own* nodes ... and/or provide that storage as a service to others? And the real purpose of this is (I am assuming) redundancy?

@falgn0n You can run it distributed/redudant, or you can run it stand alone
