Hey @briar, just noticed that you don't accept donations in Monero (XMR).It seems to me that the best private messenger should accept donations the only private crypto.BTW, I'm testing Briar desktop... #briar #privacy #security #monero #xmr

@TheFuzzStone >Hey @briar, just noticed that you don't accept donations in Monero (XMR)right, not yet. While you bring it up, I'll gonna check during the next days for a solution that is comfortable enough for us. If you have an advice, I'll take it into account when bringing ideas forward to the rest of the team.

@briar My advice would be simple - install Monero GUI (getmonero.org) and create a wallet. Blockchain download is not necessary, you can connect to a remote node, for example from our community: node.monero.net:18081 If you have any questions, don't hesitate to ask me.

@TheFuzzStone the main concern is, that the current devs don't want to bother with crypto coins.Setting up the wallet isn't the issue here, but how they can use the coins for their living expenses. Trading the coins at some market would be possible, but currently no one is willing to do so. (I would be willing to do so, except that I don't want to identify myself. /syster)1/2

@TheFuzzStone And obviously it must be all done under legal terms (I don't know what that exactly means. Thought something about laws about money laundering that requires the identification of the trade partners or something like that) ...I'm really not well informed on that subject. /syster2/2

@briar got you. So, you can use an exchange wallet, but not Binance (fuck Binance).I can recommend to your team Whitebit exchange. You don't even need to do KYC (verification) if you don't need to withdraw daily more than 2 BTC equivalent.Using my link you'll have a discount for trading: https://whitebit.com/referral/3c835489-2908-4b92-b3ba-228a1ac302b4So, you can exchange XMR to USDT, and then USDT your guys can withdraw to their exchange with a fiat gate.

@TheFuzzStone But this defeats the purpose of a #blockchain and the principal of #peer-to-peer networks, that there is no central node everybody has to trust it with their data (including transactions).
