My family basically can't watch American shows, because they're all like "We will show you this clip *shows half the clip* in just a minute *plays intro* Now that were back, we'll show you this clip *show half of clip* right after the break *commercial break* Alright, we will show you this clip *shows half of clip* Right after we show you this other clip *shows half of another clip* ...Later, but first, the break *another commercial break* ..."

@matt That's why I tend to like episodic crime dramas; the ones where each episode is mostly one case that's mostly wrapped up by the end of the show.

@OpenComputeDesign mostly American.But lately, shows meant for streaming, and not traditional TV, dont suffer what you describe. They have other problems with plot and pacing that are even worse.
