@neo seems fine to me, but I need to play with it more. If the only issues I have are "it's Wayland instead of X" I will call it a win

@neo an update: a lot of my applications are uber buggy and crashy ever since switching to Wayland. I had to switch back to Xorg. I'll give it another go after the next Xwayland patch hits Fedora, or I do a clean install.

@omnipotens they refuse to honor warranty repairs without paying for it? That's a Magnusson-Moss violation if I ever heard it.

@omnipotens https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Magnuson%E2%80%93Moss_Warranty_ActBasically if a product has a warranty on it, the warranty service must be provided free of charge, and without condition. Normally associated with automobiles, but also applies to consumer electronics.

@omnipotens I'm hopeful for the AB employees actually being treated decently.Kind of mixed about gaming as a whole though.

I think I figured out what I hate about modern TV shows:They suffer from a lack of "Get to the point"

@OpenComputeDesign mostly American. But lately, shows meant for streaming, and not traditional TV, dont suffer what you describe. They have other problems with plot and pacing that are even worse.

Which do you prefer for multipurpose use, and why?Assumptions:* Performance differences are negligible* Upgrade and repair costs are negligible* External accessories (monitors, keyboards, mice) are readily available if desired.

@Linux I'm tempted to give #Fedora #Silverblue a try but I've heard mixed things when using it as a daily driver.

TIL that #Fedora 38 doesn't install crontab or enable crond by default. No wonder my Back In Time updates weren't running automatically.

@penguin42 which is fine, but some apps still want to use cron for timed tasks. Might submit a bug with BackInTime to fix this

Didn't think I'd actually do it but I deleted my reddit account (and all of my posts). Remind me what the alternative services are? At least the ones worth using.

@MissingThePt I would totally drive a horseless carriage that shouted "Yee-Haw!" every time I hit the accelerator, and "Whoaaaa!" when I hit the brake.

@nafnlj I've been meaning to replace my joycon sticks with hall effect sticks. Are they worth the hype?

Well shit, with the #RedHat changes they are imposing on #CentOS and #RHEL, can I even run #Fedora in good conscience anymore?Guess I need to give #OpenSUSE a go as my daily driver once 16 is released.Or else become a BSD guy...
