Help/advice wanted! If you have found a sure fire way to reduce "gunk" & phlegm produced by post nasal drip, I'd like to hear it. My hubby has bilateral pneumonia and cannot stop coughing because of the gunk. Nothing we've tried of OTC stuff touches it. Anyone

@1031 You may not like this... but I know it works...Don't eat dairy products... cream, butter... (eggs okay) for a week.Lay off of wheat products for a week.Don't drink alcohol for a week...And see what happens.Eat FRESH GREENS every day with meals.Don't eat gloopy sauces or dressings...Your hubby should clear up in no time.I hate doing this cleanse because I love dairy, wheat, and alcohol!But I swear it works.

@LoveAlmonds Thank you! He's off dairy, and it's kind of odd: He can taste, but everything tastes "pasty" to him. Wish I had that problem, I'm stress eating, chuckle.

@1031 @LoveAlmonds I notice something similar happening on here sometimes- although I've only gotten double the messages. I just figured it was some kind of glitch or, I don't know, I thought maybe it had something to do with time zones.🤷♀️

@1031 Try rubbing Vick's vaporub, or the generic variety with the same ingredients, liberally on his feet, especially the instep, and put on socks.Expels phlegm.

@1031 - Bromelain. Thins out mucus. Make him eat pineapple, raw pineapple, INCLUDING the core. That's where all the enzyme is.

@1031 Capful of iodine with a touch salt in nasal flush. Twice a day. Worked for me. 10$ flush kit at rite aid.

@1031 I have heard nebulizer with colloidal silver works wonders. Has to be the pure stuff. 30 to 40 ppm. Got everything online. Can't hurt. 🤷♂️✌
