@tallship Took me forever to answer this, huh! Well, it's two Black Star, one Sagitta (Rhode Island Red mixed with 2 other breeds) and two Barred Plymouth "Rocks.

@tallship It's a good breed however I lost her back in August due to an egg that broke inside of her. I was unable to flush her properly and things went down hill from there. She was a very sweet chicken and would sit and talk to me sometimes! I just think they grow too big, too fast and their bodies are not necessarily geared to lay the size eggs they can ultimately produce. So, that said... I probably won't get a Sagitta again and will stick with the Black Star and Plymouth.

@Leyonhjelm It's been a year now since I started this flock (my first one) and I've learned a few lessons along the way (see my post about the Sagitta). I added an extra perch inside their "coop/run" so they could perch outside at night. That is attached to a 10x6 kennel that has a few perches (branches from old trees) and they do seem to love them. Now I need to start teaching them to go inside the coop again before it starts getting cold. I suppose they will figure it out!
