@Secftblgirl I could have sworn I saw Bart yesterday, as we've done on several occasions. He hangs around the inscrutable Stuart compound for the water available, and yesterday I burst out the back door, spooking him.But he settled on he edge of a tree only ten feet or so away, and when I spoke his name, he swiveled his head and fixed me with a stare.Then again, the neighbors think the same thing of an old guy shouting at birds, but no other birds ever give us the time of day.Big, beefy mockingbird, as big as a robin. Biggest one we've ever seen.Thanks for the link!

@Secftblgirl Aw, you made Madame Stuart cry.When I matter-of-factly told her (as is my way) I was going to keep a baby mockingbird in a garbage can in our laundry room and train him in her en suite, her response was, "You're going to WHAT?" (as is her way).Bu I think now she secretly misses the young lad more than she would admit.

So do we or don't we?Chatting with friend in Dallas who just tested positive (her husband negative) for what can only be Omicron: allergy symptoms (North Texas allergies are ferocious year round), some congestion, mild fever, then no fever, the identical symptoms Madame Stuart and I have been experiencing the last several days, without the fever.Until we now decided to take our temperatures and discovered mine is 100.3, hers is 99.0.Well, we're certainly not going to burn our BINAX Nows over such thin gruel. A 200mg Ibuprofen tablet to take away the aches that have lingered beyond the wood splitting window will just have to do for now, but we are both quite hopeful: scoring the golden ticket without having paid for it with unknown unknowns is about as good as it gets.
