Actually, the white male gay community has been hosting "Plantation parties" since the early 2000s in the Southern United States. Black gay males are paid to be the "submissive" in some pretty sick and twisted sexual fetishes that are attractive to upper middle class white gay males. There was no uproar over this. This is still going on today.The only person who dared to criticize it was Miss ChaBoogie in the "Why You Mad Son?" podcast and she lost her podcast shortly after speaking out strongly against white gay male sexual racism. This could actually happen. There would be no outrage from the corporate LGBT "community." They would defend it as "sexual freedom." We all should have learned this from the past behavior of the corporate gay marriage lobby and the present behavior of the TRAs. (I might have saved a download of the WYMS podcast. I'll post it if I can find it)

Thanks for this reply, I will definitely do more research about it. And it's funny how the left ignores or even celebrates said "plantation parties" while they actively try to put an end to weddings or other celebrations on former plantations. The first time I've heard about BDSM and the master and slave dynamic I wasn't even a very political person, I was too young, maybe 14 or so. But I've found it strange already how it's okay to use the word "slave" for people who willingly submit to other people.That's all so f--ked up, sex is the excuse to do all kinds of racist, inhumane shit. And they will even call you a bigot or close-minded to point that out. Neo-liberal bs talk.

Yes and don't forget, there were white women at the Michigan Womyn's Music festival in the 90s going around trying to solicit "Women of Color" to participate in Plantation "skits" in the Twilight Zone to help them "process" their racism in the early 90s. Most said they were from Detroit, but I lived in Detroit at the time and none of the festi-goers from Detroit recognized any of them as being from the Lesbian community. Part of the reason why the WOC tent was established was as a refuge for WOC from crazy white folks trying to "work through" their racism, sexually. This is one of the most censored aspect of Michfest history. The BDSM crowd got so obnoxious it sparked a huge controversy in the mid 90s. The precursor to all the Trance nonesense all went down the rainbow memory hole though. For a while there, I could not wear Black at all to MichFest because it symbolized that you were into BDSM "skits."

Yes. Everyone on WYMS Radio said they could not understand how Black men could ever consent to be a part of what was then called "Plantation slave erotica." They were shocked that Black people would take money to participate in and promote such a thing. And that was at least 10 years ago. Guy-on-the-couch said, he would never be that down to even consider such a thing.

Well that's what BDSM and kink are all about. Sexualizing the oppression one benefits from so one doesn't have to confront ugly realities or take any responsibility whatsoever for ending the oppression. By the way, none of the BDSM dykes or Gay male plantation party goers ever "work through" their racism. They just trick themselves into being okay with it once it's sexualized.
