Fully vaccinated people in Australia are now being sent off to quarantine camp for checking into shops that are later found to be linked to a covid case. As of right now you can have a bunch of cops come to your house and dump you in a center for 2 weeks. Even after you produce a negative test. You cannot isolate at home, you must go to camp. The people getting their booster shots now are still terrified of Covid, despite all the reports (even in the mainstream!) that the new omicron variant is a super mild cold. They are terrified, and yet they refuse to look into naturally optimizing their underlying health or effective early treatments like monoclonal antibodies and ivermectin.I also think there is a lot of ego and self-righteousness attached to being on board with all of the hygiene theater.

Protests here are growing. People can see that even if you are vaxxed to the eyeballs here you can still get taken to camp with no alternative option. As far as I know this isn't happening in other countries (yet).@LaylaAlexandrovna

@GCat @LaylaAlexandrovna That's the craziest thing, I do think that this will be an issue that just slowly fizzles out when people stop bothering to get the booster and simply roll their eyes at the news of a new "super" (mild) variant. At least where I live. Maybe Australia will be different with the extreme measures taken there, but it's just impossible to keep people at such a constant high stress level for more than a year. It's not cool to be performatively "COVID-conscious" and talking about masks and isolating yourself. I think that at the very least, the mania is fading. The people I knew that were constantly trying to push the vaccine on me or freaking out about bodily contact (my aunt tried to do the elbow bump thing lol, never again after that, we're all back to hugs again) have calmed. It's a strange ending to something so serious, a sort of eerie feeling to be honest. I could be wrong, though, maybe that eerie feeling is like the calm before the storm lol!

@juneseed @LaylaAlexandrovna Good point - a lot of this seems to be driven by the fact that for a while it was “cool” to be the most extreme person about Covid measures. A lot of people were very into one-upping each other on things like masking, how long they sanitized and “quarantined” their groceries (lol), and how long it had been since they saw a real life human in person. It just feels like most people have lost interest at this point.

And, in her second trimester, she decided to get vaxxed for the twins !!!. Her new baby was born premature, in hospital for 2 months, and is OBVIOUSLY has delayed functions, hope he catches up. So, 2 year old twins, a newborn and baby not hitting targets already. This family will have to deal with this for life. And, no liability for the vaxx profiteers.

The word is that domestic violence has increased the world over. This is just one of the ways we knew that the whole thing was a patriarchal plot that women should be aware of. This new strain omicron was brought in by vaccinated people because you have to be vaccinated to enter the country. The current health advice is saying the vaccine is not very effective against this strain so I don't see how they can blame it all on unvaccinated people? Also up until yesterday in the 2 most populous states, unvaccinated could only go to essential retail like supermarkets.
