@Chance @JSDorn How about Western-rite orthodox? It’s the liturgy of Gregory the great but in English. We’re not western rite, but we have Chrysostoms liturgy in English and we have a TON of formerly Catholic families that have come to it and have found what the Roman church has abandoned.

I just searched and found out there's a new Western rite Ortho church right near where I live, so I think I'll go check that out for the first time tomorrow. Eastern Orthodox liturgy just feels like what Catholic mass should be if the RC church hadn't been subverted by enemies.

@Chance I feel you brother. Jesus is still present even at a bad Mass. Try to focus on that. And maybe get to a TLM soon. I have to travel 2 hours each way to mine so its not always feasible, I know. But it might be time, just to give your soul a break.

@KitFistingGuy I've never felt right at church. It never felt okay. I always wanted to believe but it never worked. And these past few years have made me not hostile to it because I finally learned why I never liked it. And the fact that churches went full globohomo in more recent times.

@Chance @JSDorn Well, you can say that but he’s the guy calling the shots. I dread to see what will come of Vatican 3. What I think is quite telling us that if you ask Catholics who the head of their church is they say the pope and how much the dislike him. Ask an orthodox and I’ve only ever heard Jesus Christ. But if you’re determined to stay aligned with pacha-papa Francis rather than go looking for Christ then sack up and go to freaking Church!

@Chance Sympathize with that feeling for sure. Always remember that God does not withdraw His sanctifying grace even from an aesthetically offensive Mass. He will still be present and waiting for you; even amongst the lame music, dumb homily, and embarrassing intentions!A 'bad' Mass is infinitely better than not fulfilling your Sunday obligation.

@Chance you could also try the Anglican Ordinariate. Like 10 years ago or so, a bunch of Anglicans returned to the Catholic through the creation of this. I haven't been, but from what I have seen online, it's based, relative to the average Novus Ordo Mass.

@Chance @JSDorn You can still go. Its better to go than not go at all. Lol just dont wear anything overtly satanic or graphic. In highschool I had a Job For a Cowboy tshirt with titties on it. And maybe order some plain shirts. I went to Mass alone a long time. Years. I'm early 30s, converted at 24. It took a long time to find my people but they are out there and you will find yours. Maybe not "our guys", but decent men and their wives who just want to serve God and live in a normal community.
