I know that most of my followers are anti-c but I still need to say this for anyone this applies to. There will be some out there who need to hear this.If you are considering looking for CSEM (real child pornography) - please don't. It's not worth it under any circumstances. It doesn't matter if you take every possible safety precaution, it doesn't matter if your trustworthy tech-genius friend offers to send it to you, it doesn't matter if you have a strong burning curiosity, - it's still not worth it.If the issue is curiosity of what it's like, if you are drawn to the taboo nature of it - it's not difficult to visualize what it would look like. You don't need to actually see it, imagination is enough. And of course there is also plenty of legal fictional content out there. If you're not into the cartoony/anime stuff, there are realistic 3D models.Finding CSEM is not as simple or casual as looking up loli art, and it's harder to find for a REASON, that reason being that people routinely land in prison over this.Just because your friends treat it as some kind of normal/casual thing does not mean that it is. You might gain a skewed idea of how serious and dangerous CSEM is if you are talking to people who treat it like taking a walk in the park. If you think CSEM is a small matter, you are living in a fantasy bubble and your friends aren't helping. Now it's possible that you know people who are sort of careless about it, and you take that as some kind of proof that it's fairly safe to send/download it. But that is not proof, because they're simply lucky. Pure chance. That's the only reason they haven't been caught. Even people who go 100% all in with the safety measures to the extent of being paranoid have been caught.Curiosity, the allure of the taboo, sexual satisfaction - those may be strong impulses, but satisfying those things is NOT WORTH the risk of ending up in prison and having much of your future and life opportunities wiped away, all over a few images or videos. The consequences don't even end when you're released from prison, as you may lose almost all of your employment opportunities, housing opportunities, and social connections. Satisfying your curiosity is very momentary and temporary, but the ramifications last practically forever.

Avoiding CSEM is important for not only your own safety, but also of course for the sake of the children in the images/videos. Some might say "Well I'm just looking at a recording, I'm not doing anything to them, so I'm not actually hurting anyone!" But you have to understand that indirect harm exists. Here it exists in the form of supply and demand, and in the form of viewing/spreading something that the children in question would not want to be seen by others, let alone thousands of strangers.Pro c's will disagree with me, but CSEM involves a lack of informed consent for the children involved. Either they were recorded without their knowledge or consent, they were forced or manipulated into what they are doing, or they participated *seemingly* willingly but without the level of foresight and maturity needed to know the full extent of what it means to participate in those things and have material of themselves be released online. Once it's out there, it's practically impossible to get rid of, and a child is unlikely to fully grasp this fact because they are living and thinking in the moment more than adults are. The decision to put such intimate things online should be made from an adult mindset. Years later children/teens are likely to be extremely anxious about the fact that these videos/photos are still being circulated among countless people with no way to stop it. Some have described it as feeling like it is constantly looming around the corner. Some have been stalked/messaged by people who have seen the CSEM of them. Is it worth it to contribute to that just for sexual satisfaction or curiosity? Hell no.Another thing I've noticed about pro contact "fantasy bubbles" is that they tend to overestimate children's ability to make informed decisions, especially those that may effect their future. Children are smart but they don't think exactly as adults do. It's a very different brand of intelligence. They think more in the short-term. Their intelligence is more geared towards creativity and spontaneity (and are often much better than adults in that area!) rather than planning and practical down to earth aspects of life. They are more prone to making decisions or agreeing to things that they may come to regret. Again I don't think children are stupid (this is a frequent accusation that pro c's have against anti c's), it's just that their brand of intelligence is different. Not worse, just different.CSEM and porn of adults are worlds apart from one another. Please don't treat them the same or believe that the potential effects/risks are exactly the same.
