@xianc78 @graf you can find them on the local timeline, mainly just saying stuff like they wanna diddle kids or whatever. If I find it too annoying or excessive I just block or mute them but the crossover between them and the users like us is very little and I'm mature enough to not give a shit. Don't really care much and I see it as one of those things where the more freedom you allow users the more weirdos you're going to get, but I don't let what autistic MAPs post ruin my day or anything. I left Twitter because it was too locked down and favored certain groups of people far more than others. It's pretty clear to me that gameliberty doesn't do that so that's why I'm glad I landed here. I don't need anyone to hold my hand. If someone made an account here and just posted pictures of gore or fat dudes masturbating I'd mute them and that would be that, and that's the same thing I do to annoying pedos. As I understand it, Graf has also stripped media from gameliberty before because users here were posting toddlercon and that's against the rules of poa.st (which I find weird because lolicon is almost exactly the same thing and offends all the same people but whatever). MAPs are also against the rules so removing gameliberty posts makes sense in that regard since there are users here who are MAPs and it is not against gameliberty's rules. If graf wants to run a tighter ship then it's up to him. We could always make our own instances or make another account elsewhere if we still wanted full contact with poast but I can't be arsed right now lol.If you look at the lists of instances that are blocked in some way by poast and gameliberty you'll see that GL has drastically fewer and are only due to spam or botnet experiments. One instance is a straight up pirate ship and one is a fishing boat full of racist dudes, and there's a reason I've got a jolly roger on my wall. I still like hanging around the fishermen though.

@xianc78 @beardalaxy in your defense we only stripped media for a short time -- your admin took care of the issue and we removed it but this has happened more than once so we take this precaution to protect ourselves and more importantly our users from shit like that. people coming to fedi for the first time often end up on poast as a landing pad because we are well known outside of fedi through word-of-mouth and to jump on and see that shit on the fedi timeline is a sour taste for anyone, not to mention the legality of it. dont mean to imply you're all pedos but it's been a lot of issues in past
