       I think we need to turn the conversation about Prostasia in a more productive direction. I approve of the course of action @elliot chose, talking on their forum and raising particular points. But people who chose to call them a hate group on Twitter are going too far. Not only because nothing good or clever ever gets done in Twitter subposts, but also because they're not a hate group. They're a relatively new organization that's dealing with big negative attention for the first time. When the shit goes down, they'll be more likely to analyze what they did wrong, and we'll have better lack if we stay more calm.

       @Citrine I wouldn't say I put faith into anything per se. I just want to keep the connection, because if they lose map feedback alltogether after a fight, it won't get better.

       @comrade_lecter @elliotNo map should ever support an organisation like Prostasia that believes minor attraction is an inherently negative thing that needs to be changed. We’d be better off without them if that’s the belief they want to stick to. If they wish to regain my respect and the respect of many maps, they need to change the way they view minor attraction.

Prostasia ignores science, ignores evidence–based prevention strategies, supports police, supports incarceration and perpetuates a pathological view on minor attraction.‘Hate group’ or not, they’ve said some incredibly ignorant and hateful things. I’m sure I’m not the only map activist who has seen numerous antis talk about how ‘nothing good can come from paedophilia’ and how ‘maps need to cure their paedophilia’, which are basically the same things Prostasia has said and is continuing to defend.That all needs to change if they wish to regain my respect and the respect of many maps. If they aren’t willing to change their beliefs, then we’d be better off without them as far as I’m concerned.
