I've played a lot of chess in the past two years and became fairly decent at it (whatever that means), but now pretty much hate the game.Just watching others play makes me anxious. It's a rather odd feeling 😕

@fribbledom I had something similar happen to me. I played a lot as a kid, studied chess books, won a couple of small tournaments, and suddenly couldn't stand looking at the board. It was years before I even sat down to play a casual game after that.

@mplouffe @fribbledom Similar story. I realised after playing many tournaments it was no longer about winning but playing not to make an error that lost you the game. Took the fun out of it.
