I have to develop a small website that works as a restaurant's menu, food, dinner, desserts, drinks and such.Any ideas about a layout to use? Are there any themes that come to mind? How would you keep it simple yet elegant?I already have some ideas but some suggestions would be appreciated#askfedi #askfediverse

@joeligj12 As a start, restaurant menus are tabular data .If you're using a static site generator for fast page load speeds, many allow putting the items in a CSV file, then looping over them. Each menu section on its own page with a wide, thin photo related to that part of the menu. Lots of white space.HTML5 Up has a lot if free templates that can be easily adapted.

@joeligj12 If you can avoid having patrons from downloading a PDF of the menu, I think you're already well ahead of the competition. Keep it simple and easy to navigate, especially on mobile.

@samir yeah, I really hate having to download a pdf for this, its not responsive and it tends to look bad on mobile
