@DejaVu Thanks for posting. It is very good news and the parents explanation for why the lawsuit is excellent. And in Florida, too.Things are moving along and coming to the fore, finally, in the US. How much longer before MSM has got to begin covering this with some resemblance to balance.

@Berco @DejaVu News in the United States is an almost entirely unregulated industry. They are not required to provide balance, and they are not going change their reporting at all, I think.

@Eah Well, the US MSM plays catch up to news stories by anticipating where the selling stories are. They follow trends.I do think they get to a point where they can't ignore stories as more of the public awakens. On gender i.d it is coming and will not be able to be ignored for too much longer, IMO. As parents see how the schools are captured and negatively effecting their children's lives, they are making more and more noise and getting attention. And as more cases go to courts they will be covered.Agree it will take time for the MSM to start to cover our side, but it will happen slowly, and is coming.@DejaVu

@MandyJane @Berco @DejaVu @Eah The school is allowing a 13 year old girl to choose whether she will share a bedroom with boys or girls. None of those teachers should be employed anywhere near children.

@AnneBevan @Berco @DejaVu @Eah I still can't get over how this spread across the country (and other countries) so quickly. It used to be that schools very much wanted parents to be responsible for these major decisions. You know, you can't take a kid off campus without a written permission slip, but encouraging them to be mentally ill is just fine? Doesn't make any fucking sense.

@MandyJane @Berco @DejaVu @Eah - Have the schools considered what will happen when these confused girls bunk overnight with boys and rape\sexual assault occurs? Do they believe this will never happen? There is a pretty good chance assualt\rapes will occur because of this policy. Then what? The school should be held fully liable for any damages. All of this gender identity bullshit in schools are lawsuits waiting to happen.

@AthenasWrench3 Have you followed the Loudon County Virginia case? that is what happened. And will be happening, as you say, more often, just like it is happening more often to women in once sex segregated places where all men can now come because of "self-id". Females, of all ages exposed to male violence everywhere. No place of safety for us anymore under "gender self-i.d" Unsurprisingly, the "left", the regressive left, refuses to acknowledge male violence against women as a problem exacerbated by "self-i.d."@MandyJane @DejaVu @Eah

@Berco @AthenasWrench3 @DejaVu @MandyJane I'm familiar with Loudon County. Everyone's been talking about that father. It's not parental alienation, it's child endangerment - which is also serious of course. We desperately need a new model for gender dysphoria to help fight this, anything else is just going to be constantly putting out fires while the pyromaniacs are running around with gasoline.

@Eah @Berco @DejaVu @MandyJane - I don't even believe in GD. I think it happens but I think what is going on now is not GD but a contagion. It doesn't help that society, celebrity culture, etc are pushing the trans kid narrative. That surgery and testosterone is a cure for pretty much everything. making it seem cool and edgy to be trans or non-binary. No discussion is allowed re: that this is irreversible. That if you remove your genitals there is a very high chance you will not have sex or sex partners. That breast binding is bad for girls. They make it seem like all of this is just a fashion choice. We need proper science back. Our institutions set up to protect kids are criminally negligent

@AthenasWrench3 @Eah @Berco @DejaVu @MandyJane I do think that in girls "gender dysphoria" is just a diagnosis describing and medicalizing the NORMAL response of self-hatred, body repulsion, and fear in a society which relishes in the abuse of their body. Are girls supposed to be proud of their bodies when they're growing up, bombarded with images and videos of them getting abused, raped, killed, tortured? We're medicalizing the female distress instead of targeting what's CAUSING it, male violence, male domination, ritualized female subordination. All because getting girls onto testosterone equals money made. Removing their uterus, money made. ALWAYS having them on some kind of hormone therapy because you've taken out the only organ they have to produce it, money made. Dementia and other health problems that arise later BECAUSE of the "no biggie" hysterectomy, money made. I can't believe the sheer amount of medical negligence and abuse females are experiencing at the hands of this health"care" industry. I really, really can't believe they're getting away with all of this.

@juneseed @AthenasWrench3 @Berco @DejaVu @Eah @MandyJane "We're medicalizing the female distress instead of targeting what's CAUSING it"yep, medicalizing women's trauma is way to once again put the blame of them, stigmatize their feelings and push the idea that it's women who must be "fixed" (via surgery and/or other treatments), rather than the society that created the pain whithin them.Psychologists/therapists themselves are now very individualistic: they would rather talk about how "women just have the wrong perspective and need to change" (and thus encouraging their clients to feel bad if they don't blindly follow social norms), rather than criticizing our culture. Which is a shame, I feel bad for all the victims who think that they are "crazy" just because a bunch of "experts" would rather made them think that they are the ones who are the problem, and that questioning/blaming anything else is forbidden.

@AthenasWrench3 @MandyJane @Berco @DejaVu @Eah The schools do not care and are not even thinking about what if anyone is raped due to G.I. policies. They’re firmly in the this never happens category. My children will not be doing any overnight school trips until they’re 18 and can sign for themselves because of this shit. It’s my responsibility as their mother to protect them to the best of my ability and knowingly letting them end up in situation where they could be raped is definitely a line I can’t cross (I have daughters).

And the girls seem to benefit from that.Hearing what I have about the porn epidemic and the attitude of current youth regarding sex because of pornography is making me more concerned for young girls today than any of the gender weirdness.

And, it works great at giving each sex a great education. The separate sex schools would have joint activities like Sports and Dances where they were able to mix on a limited and supervised basis.

No pressure to look a certain way, no peer pressure steering girls away from maths and science, fantastic academic record despite being a comprehensive (non selective). @EmmyNoether @SheChanges @AthenasWrench3 @Berco @DejaVu @Eah @MandyJane @starsstorm I will always recommend all girls schools. Went to one up until college. Saved me from most male bullshit but also made male bullshit easier to recognize once I went off on my own. The neighboring all boys school I hear was more like hell on earth for some. Because I guess when there are no girls around, the hierarchy amongst boys becomes more pronounced.

The other was just an average guy with nothing special about him who is more than likely AGP. I truly believe both were deeply influenced by a lack of exposure to women and toxic male bonding during their formative years 🤷🏻

@GalacticTurtle @EmmyNoether @AthenasWrench3 @Berco @DejaVu @MandyJane @SheChanges @starsstorm This is a tangent, but I was reading about theravada Buddhism and their approach to boys was fascinating. At a certain age, most of them enter the monestary for three months during the monsoon. They learn how to control their urges and they are taught the religion, which has a hierarchy of souls based on this ability to achieve self-control and other Buddhist virtues - this hierarchical model provides a seemingly necessary structure and motivation for them to learn how to behave. Women strongly prefer to date men who have been in the monestary. They say that they the ones who haven't are intolerable. Funny that, I wonder if all our religions may just exist because we need some way of persuading difficult boys to behave. :blobjoy:

@AthenasWrench3 @Berco @DejaVu @MandyJaneHere is my take on dysphoria and contagion-What people call gender dysphoria is a traumatic dissociative response that is more accurately described as body dysmorphia.Whether male or female it is a response of hatred and disgust for one's sexual anatomy so powerful that it creates a protective illusion that the anatomy is wrong and something else should be there in its place. They created a name for that delusion, transgender. Now we have some social contagion with people incorrectly attributing their problems and anxieties to this concept of transgender that only exists because of severe illness. One problem being applied to the same label is porn addiction. Another problem is puberty anxiety. There are also anxieties and traumas that children have when they are alienated from their same sex peers. This social alienation accounts for the high rates of trans identification among groups that are frequently isolated: youth who are gay, autistic, in group homes, etc The contagion is the belief that transgender is a real thing and a misidentification with that thing. This itself has the power to create dysmorphic feelings in someone who never had them.

@IWantAGirlRiot @GalacticTurtle @AthenasWrench3 @Berco @DejaVu @Eah @MandyJane @SheChanges @starsstorm Yes, therein lies the paradox. Single sex education is wonderful for girls’ development, and deeply destructive for boys’ development. And there is no way of having it both ways. (The worst environment of the lot seems to be that of mixed sixth forms in boys public schools - Brit speak for posh private schools. Mostly boys and a tiny handful of girls under siege is the worst environment imaginable, amplifying and entrenching the toxic sexism of the boys, while leaving the girls as the most exposed and vulnerable minority).

@AnneBevan Good question. In Ma., California etc. it is state law that schools follow and gender identity is now enshrined there. And evidently, also, now some federal law the Dems have snuck it. Otherwise i don't think florida would be doing this. @Berco @AnneBevan @DejaVu @Eah I think Tallahassee is more liberal, which doesn't surprise me. Any major urban area, and especially where the capital is, are usually a little bit more lefty. If you look at the state breakdown during an election, you will see a blue and red patchwork. The biggest difference here is that wherever there are large Cuban communities it is more conservative, like Miami.

@MandyJane @Berco @AnneBevan @DejaVu @Eah State capitals also tend to be liberal because there is a state college there. You have lawyers, politicians and college students. Like Austin. I have read articles lately saying that people in CA are fed up and moving to Texas. Texas does not have a state income tax, and only a few states are like that. Texas brags about being a low tax state because of that, but it is not true. They will get you on high property taxes if you own any real property, and sales taxes(8%+) too. Fees for professional licensing, car tags, and assorted permits are high.
