These manufactured proteins are identified by white blood cells as foreign, and the cells construct antibodies to identify them before destroying them.The antibody sequence is stored in memory T-cells, which produce even more antibodies.If actual COVID shows up, the existing white blood cells catch it super quick because they already have the antibodies, and they destroy COVID-infected cells.However, memory cells don't store antibody sequence indefinitely unless repeatedly exposed, hence the need for booster shots to keep the immunity working.Any further questions?
