@velartrill because capitalism. Tools are sold as cheap as possible so that you own your own workshop instead of sharing with others, and they’re cheaply made so that they break and you buy them again. Business has got much better at extracting cash from consumers since the 50’s.

@dubh @truth okay, so the vaccines contain an mRNA sequence which is replicated in your cells to produce viral spike protein. These manufactured proteins are identified by white blood cells as foreign, and the cells construct antibodies to identify them before destroying them.The antibody sequence is stored in memory T-cells, which produce even more antibodies.If actual COVID shows up, the existing white blood cells catch it super quick because they already have the antibodies, and they destroy COVID-infected cells.However, memory cells don't store antibody sequence indefinitely unless repeatedly exposed, hence the need for booster shots to keep the immunity working.Any further questions?
