So what's the deal with this #Pickleball craze anyways? Like people suddenly discovering this "new" sport/game?My family has played it for YEARS. Like...DECADES. As in we played it if we weren't playing lawn darts. Its rediscovery seems so...random. Perhaps rollerskating on old school quads will be next? I think the boundaries of space and time are breaking down.

@msh We played pickleball in gym class in high school. This was the late 90s. Is it a regional thing?

@kelbot near as I can tell it probably was something more particular to parts of western US and Canada but more recently was finally discovered by people in places that officially exist like New York so now it's really a thing?

@msh Interesting. We played it in the midwest in the 90s. Funny how things go away and crop back up for mysterious reasons.

@msh I'm definitely part of the group just discovering pickleball. Been getting to play at least a couple times a week for 2+ hours and has been great for getting me up and moving more. Quick to pick up but takes time to be good at.Is it a little like a bunch of people finding your secret spot and now there's always someone there when you want to be there?
