@MandyJane I doubt they individually reviewed all 642 writing prompts, and it sounds more like they just found one objectionable prompt than that the class as a whole was inappropriately sexual.

@RobinWils I would agree. I think the majority of the stupidity was coming from the right during the 80s and 90s with their young earth creationist science denial phase, but now it's the left that is more heavily into science denial.@MandyJane

@dave @RobinWils yeah, there's plenty of stupid on both sides. I tend to pay more attention to the dumb shit on the left because most of the media goes along with it. Whenever anyone, no matter how far to the right they are, does something stupid there are hundreds of articles, thousands of tweets, etc about just how dumb whatever it is was. When the left does something stupid, they either don't talk about it, or they make an excuse for it. My politics are to the left, but I think it's important to hold your own side to some standards. Social media is making everyone stupid, imo.

@MandyJane @dave I honestly don't even know what side I am on. I think it depends on the topic. I would guess more to the right, but I am not too interested in politics, so I don't know much about it.I agree that social media makes people stupid. I would not say "makes", but "keeps" though. People don't know how to look stuff up anymore. I can't claim that my lookup skills are the best, but at least I don't get all my info from Facebook, or whatever.

@MandyJane the fact that many people want to push porn into sex Ed doesnt help to draw the line between what's just education and what's not I guess I guess. It's like a fight between the toxic right wing and the pornified left wing. Both have a fucked up understanding of sexuality.
