Has anyone here had an RSS-only kinda blog? Like, all you do is add stuff to a single file and let people use their rss readers to check it out? That would be the ultimate blog, no distractions, no CSS, let the client do the work and you just write.Maybe if there is some sort of converter so you can use markdown but all the files get turned into an atom feed would be kinda interesting

@joeligj12 have you heard of #gemini? While it's separate from RSS its more or less what you're describing. Pure content, no distractions from CSS, JS, or ads. It even has a built in feed format designed to be easy to maintain by hand (gemfeed). If you're interested, the main page is here:https://gemini.circumlunar.space/

@joeligj12 i love RSS and hate the progression away from it. Its simple.I loved offline for 3 months. And all i had was RSS feeds from when Ide blip online on metered 3G.i HAD to have RSS, because it was low data. I loved it.

@joeligj12 Interesting idea. But such a "blog" (or should we call it "flog", for feed log?) would have one major issue: it would be difficult to discover. Usually RSS/Atom feeds complement a web- or gempage and by nature they're not really meant as a standalone publishing medium. So, you usually browse to a blog or gemlog, read a little bit of it and happen to like it so you subscribe to its RSS or Atom feed. You get an idea of what the stuff published is.
