       Just cut all my email hosting (for my own domains I control) over to Apple iCloud+ .I am sure people will bemoan me because Apple, but it sure as hell beats giving my email to Gmail...

       @bcshort you should do you own email server - you don't need either one of them - yes it is complicated but email is first app you should bring in house for all kinds of reasons - diy or just hire somebody#apt bemoanment

       @345box Been there, done that, got the badge. My interest in self hosting greatly reduced when I started my career in IT - 20 years later I am not as inclined to come home from a day of fixing computers to then go and fix more computers *grin*

       @bcshort I understand you, since I am feeling the same. You simple dont have time and the will to spent in front of the screen for a couple of extra hours after work - or just the risk of it.@345box And no, hosting email is not "just a few hours of work". Sure, you can do the initial setup in 20-30 minutes, but then there is maintenance, monitoring of the IPs/ASN where you are located on, mitigations from blacklists and so on.

       @selea @bcshort you are taking the easy way out and bending over for apple/google - have at it but there will be no vaseline - email is the killer app - it is worth it
