@bonfire What kind of compatibility is there between Bonfire as it will be initially released, and federated wiki?https://github.com/fedwikiEg will it be easy to run fedwiki on bonfire?Federation is fundamental in both. But would be great if what's under the hood in fedwiki - moving now from node to deno - were intimately interoperable with Bonfire. wiki is an 'awareness engine'.This is way more tech than I can handle - but I really would like to see this explored. It could matter@yala

@mike_hales @yalaI personally think it's a great idea, and while it isn't yet on our roadmap, we have discussed implementing wiki-style functionality before. Would have to look into what protocol fedwiki uses though (probably not ActivityPub)...- Mayel

@mike_hales I love the idea of federating wikis (even more so after reading the section on FedWiki in Free, Fair and Alive - https://commonplace.doubleloop.net/a-platform-designed-for-collaboration-federated-wiki)I was thinking that an AP instance should facilitate easy construction of a knowledge commons together from its users.Something ActivityPub-based, that could easily take posts from your AP stream and incorporate them into your individual garden, that then pools into an instance garden, would be excellent.@bonfire @yala

@neil @mike_hales @bonfire Hi Neil, you'll be happy to hear that the english version of Free Fair and Alive is soon to be released through http://patternlanguage.commoning.wiki/For federation of posts and knowledge in a common, we have the suitable means available in the wiki federation. If you intend to document ActvityPub events in a wiki, then there could of course also be some sort of plugin that records them. There's also the 10-years birthday party coming up on Friday .. http://party.fed.wiki/view/welcome-visitors/view/ten-years-of-federated-wiki/view/ten-years-remembered/view/zoom-song-and-dance

@yala > document ActvityPub events in a wikiHas work been done on this jon? One of the great elements of the aestrhetic in the wiki community is scraping feeds and re-rendering them, in relation to other feeds or contexts. Aka 'community analytics' or 'mirror analytics' versus the 'extractive analytics' of the Big-data oligarchs. Ward is ace at this.@neil @bonfire

@mike_hales @yala @neil @bonfire are you all familiar with @XWiki ? They are the first wiki to implement #ActivityPub and have any wiki page be exposed as a shareable object here on the #fediverse
