       i think a lot of americans get "leftist" confused with "liberal"like a lot of american "leftists", even people who call themselves socdems, anarchists, etc etc- are both culturally and politically neoliberals. They don't break the neoliberal spin.Marxism and post-modernism are inherently incompatible because marxism is a strictly material philosophy and post-modernism is strictly immaterial. Marxism is an examination of physical conditions.

       @fenix if you take postmodernism at face value, it’s anti-science in a way, or at least allows you to dismiss or distort inconvenient facts.one could argue that the new left are “marxist per analogy”. it’s no longer about physical conditions but about other forms of inequality, not only between classes but among other demographics, and postmodernism supports this like of thinking with its relativism.
