       @thegibsonThanks Gibs. So this doesn't necessarily mean Hyper-V as a virtualization tech is no more, but it does mean Azure HCI is the only supported way to deploy private clouds with Hyper-V, if I understand correctly?

       @thegibson If you want to go the open source route, I'm pretty happy with Proxmox.It doesn't quite match the features of vCenter, but it comes reasonably close (e.g., it does have live migration, HA, snapshots, online backups).I always like supporting open source projects when possible. The more support they get, the better the feature support, stability and so forth.

       @thegibson I have no idea. My use case is exclusively servers. Are you looking for PCI passthru so you can have a VM use its host's sound card?
