ok, so uploads are actually working as expected... just not displaying... and only local media... which probably rules out imagemagick... smells like permissions.

I don't much care for this new local timeline not refreshing stuff, and trying to move me to live feeds for that.

Here's one that I printed thousands of back in 2020... One of the things that was really hard for fatigued healthcare workers in the beginning of the pandemic was wearing masks for 16 hours a day was giving them stress headaches and rubbing the backs of the ears raw...I made a simple set of virtual ears, and could print almost 500 per day with HOWEE. I was sending these by request to every ER in the metro.https://www.tinkercad.com/things/kXaCfq1Gr3G

The idea in this design was that I saw other designs that while they may look neat, or may be more durable, but they weren't terribly flexible, fast to print, nor did most have multiple "ears" for different sized heads I needed to make a LOT and do it at speed. So while folding to help find a vaccine, I had HOWEE grinding these out in Carbon fiber filament for a couple of months.

The number of people who have been here less than a year who have strong opinions about how wrong I am about things is too damn high!I'm glad you have strong feelings on how the fediverse should work, and I absolutely respect that you have ways you want to do things... cool, great... you are passionate about it, and that's awesome. But so am I. I've been at this for a while now. I know how to run my instance, and how to support the community we've built. You have not known me long. Please understand with full knowledge of my reverence for this network... I will absolutely block and Meta related domain without the slightest hesitation. Those excited about federating with meta can call me out all they want... but I really feel like that is self selection to get onto my blocklist.
