       Any formerly favourite male fictional characters that were ruined for you when you discovered radical feminism?I'll go first: Aaron Hotchner from Criminal Minds. I crushed on him hard as a teenager. I recently started rewatching the series and now I think he's absolute garbage lol

       There are a few reasons, the biggest for me being how he treated his stay at home wife. He's been with her since high school and started as a prosecutor which was a 9 to 5 job, and then he takes a dangerous job as an FBI special agent which often requires him to be away from home for multiple days in a row. Whenever she expresses unhappiness about it it's obvious the show wants us to to sympathise with *him* (which I did as a wee teenager but not anymore) because "she knew what she signed up for".They have a baby at some point but when he gets offered a job to lead a different task force with normal hours he doesn't take it because his wife just isn't a priority to him. @NeonPeach

       After his wife is killed, he is all smiles after an appropriate amount of time. He makes lots of time for his son and he goes on a bunch of dates with women who still have their sparkle unlike his nagging wife. The show really turned his single fatherhood into a babe magnet.@NeonPeach
