       this is the only place where i can admit this, and this might be unacceptable to say even on this website, but i don’t feel bad for homeless men at all. ok i would feel bad if they were indigenous or another group that’s a visible minority, but if you’re a white man on the streets of leaf land idk you probably deserve it like ok im not really a capitalism enjoyer but yeah men should sufferidk how I can fix my way of thinking or if I really need to. i know my feelings are “wrong” by most ppls standards but they’re just feelings im not mf-ing jeff bezos exploiting people

       @k181 I don't feel bad for ANY man, that solves all dilemmas. I belong to an oppressed class, I have no moral obligation to feel sorry for ANY member of the oppressor class.

       @virginiawolf @k181 I think the real moral obligation is to do no harm, or, as the Jewish saying goes, something like, What is hateful to you, don't do to your neighbor.Christianity teaches its followers that they have an obligation to love everyone. Think about how that pressure to judge our feelings about others undermines our intuition trying to keep us safe from someone else when we can't consciously understand why. I do want to add though, just because, that I do feel uncomfortable with feminists deriding men as a group, just because they're men. It feels like a substitute for problem solving and problem naming.  I'm NOT saying that's what you're doing, just adding it because I see it a lot on Spinster and it seems to me like it's a squandering of (potentially) feminist energy and an expression of powerlessness.
