two weeks ago, everyone was passing around that CNBC article where the CDC did a study of a tiny town in massachusetts of 400 people and claimed "74% of people infected were fully vaccinated". I told everyone to ignore that and read the actual numbers from the state health department. @alpineibex yep. they took a tiny sample size and made it seem like covid breakthroughs amongst vaccinated was exploding! The real numbers say that's horseshit. but that was 2 weeks ago and the anti-vaxxers probably already forgot about that article 🤷♂️ 😆

@Lisa22 @watch4thedrop @metalblonde1114 @alpineibex @Klang @Debradelai Just to say I have taken Vit D and zinc for ages, and all during Covid, have worked up close and personal with the pandemic for last 18 months (operating theatres and Intensive Care) with no hint of infection, not even a sniffle. I honestly don't understand why the Government doesn't do more to encourage the public to take more care of themselves in this way.

Going straight to the source of each states health departments and grabbing the numbers from there will paint you a more clear picture. According to this report, the number is 106 breakthroughs that led to death which account for 0.0002% of all vaccinated

@watch4thedrop Years ago I heard people I know saying, "I got the flu vaccine and still got the flu" to defend not getting the flu vaccine. My mom, an internal medicine doctor, told me it was likely due to them already being infected w/the flu at the time or a new flu variant. That made sense to me. I always got my flu shot. Breakthroughs aren't new in influenza vaccines
