@Josephcdickerson At your request, I'm reminding you to please do a thread on Huston Huddleston and a man who scammed scores of SF fans out of their money. 😇 @BirdDog @Timmerax

@Josephcdickerson I fully equate them with "the delta variant" and all other such politicized monsters. Hell, the name of the movie is even too on the nose.

@Josephcdickerson If I want to see a movie about dirtbags doing something good, I'll just rewatch "The Dirty Dozen" again.

@karnage @Josephcdickerson Yes to Dirty Dozen! I told my teenage son I would show him DD after we suffered through the SS reboot last week on HBO Max. It is painfully bad, with a nonsense plot, gore, and characters I hated. Gunn blew a bunch of money on slo-mo camera effects and giant sets. The Guardians films at least had Chris Pratt's goofy schtick going for them and decent characters.

@EmmaP @Josephcdickerson There must be some sort of moral center for movies to be effective, even if they deal with amoral or immoral characters. If the films themselves are amoral or immoral, it's tough for audiences to care. When filmmakers neither comprehend nor care about morality, their movies do not work and they do not know why.
