       My 75yo dad has begun to act incoherently again, he needs to get checked with the doctor ASAP. I think he got another bladder infection and that's affecting his cognitive abilities.We need at least 70 USD for the doctor's visit and lab tests, plus another 100 for medications.And if you can spare a hug, those are welcome, too.        @yuki Commiserations. My late grandmother suffered that way for many years. Anything that impaired her kidney function (not just UTIs, but also some of the medications she was taking for other conditions, oh joy) would impair her cognitive function. In particularly bad cases, she would begin "speaking Swahili" as the family called it ― a total breakdown of language skills.
