       I feel sorry for people who think that signing a petition/letter is going to make any difference.Has it ever?It's like people who tweet #DeleteFacebook but not actually delete their FB account."But I tweeted about it! And I'm not gonna post of FB for a whole week" ... and then they go back.If they manage to get 10k sigs, that would be impressive.And Apple won't give a fuck.With 100 million sigs you may get a "we should do better [explaining it]" reaction.A FAQ entry is nice though ...

       Yes, "we should do better" is a reference to Zuck's reaction when he was asked in US Congress what FB was going to do in order to NOT facilitate another *genocide*.When #Snowden showed PROOF of actual massive invasions of our #privacy, people still didn't care.No, Snowden is not in charge of WikiLeaks 🙄 So you think that people will suddenly care about a potential invasion of their privacy?I so wish I knew what needed to happen for 'normies' to care, but I haven't seen anything (yet).

       @FreePietje I agree with all of this, even if it’s disappointing to realize. Corporations don’t care about their customers, so when there’s a public gripe about something, they just issue a statement and then move along as if nothing happened.

       @Sosthene @FreePietje Agreed. Facebook users are the product, and have been for years. I’m pretty disappointed with Apple’s posturing over being so “privacy-focused”, while implementing something that clearly violates user privacy.

       @FreePietje I never had an Facebook account, ever. And I do not post about delete facebook or anything. People will learn when something BIG happens to them in particular. Until then, you can't do anything about it. Social media and things like Facebook are like the "Boiling Frog".
