       @Stefan I tried it many years ago, the official instance. I liked it, I think the software is good. But I had to leave because of the limits to the user quota for the uploads, since I do a lot of cuteposting and retroposting and all that.I also like the idea of having a storage on your social network, but people dont usually like to be limited on how much content they can upload.

       @enigmatico Maybe you can answer a question I had on mind? When you repost an image do you have a duplicate of it on the server in pleroma? With misskey you could repost the image from your drive so it might in the end take up less space?

       @Stefan The problem is that posting pictures does consume a lot of space so I would run out of space quickly over the course of the year unless its a lot of space. Which is not something you worry about on mastodon/pleroma, or even twitter or facebook. Thats my only issue.This can be modified per instance though. But no instance is going to give you more than maybe a couple of GB.fyi I managed to fill up a 250GB partition with drawings from pixiv and other sources. Though I admit it took me a lot of time and a script to batch download them. But have in mind that those drawings might take up to 1MB or more each.
