Some people asked me how I have been during my break from the #fediverse.Not sure how to answer that. I met an amazing human being who's moving to the other side of the world. I've been working on understanding and loving myself more. Reading up on stoicism, journaling. Aligning actions with goals. I've had weeks of working out daily and days of not leaving my bed. I got promoted at work while doing nothing. I've felt inspired, lost, loved, heartbroken, so many things. Not sure how to explain.

Weird how life can be exciting and painfully mundane at the same time. An app like TikTok playing a role in a few huge realizations. Combined with fun times, trips to Ibiza and Sardinia, bouldering with friends.I'm rewatching Bo Burnham's Inside a lot, which probably isn't a good sign. That absurdist feeling when you log into your work pc in the morning that makes you question your whole life. Only 50 more years and my right knee already hurts. I think I might go on sabbatical soon.

@Gina I embraced existential crisis about 15 years ago and embedded it in my daily life. I slipped into depression only once (2 y ago) in that timespan and I overcame it in just 3 months (no meds). My answer to the big questions is basically "I don't know" (stoicism at its finest) and after truly understanding that I'm universally irrelevant like anyone else I have to say that it's not that bad. I enjoy almost every day.

@Gina I'm curios to know if you think that being "connected" would have changed/influenced your life in the past 90 days. I for instance don't consider my internet presence being influential on my life. I do suffer when I'm not connected because I can't read what I want but it does not impact in any ways my focus etc.

@Gina I noticed that I found all the songs (and background music) of a really high quality. Just looked him up ... and he is also a (professional) musician, so that explains it :)One of the first songs has this line (and gets repeated at the end of the film iirc):"Should I be joking at a time like this?"That's an unequivocal YES from me.Laughing is physically and mentally very good for you.And jokes help to see things in perspective, so maybe we should've done more of that.
