@shibao Not gunna lie it’s attractive, but I don’t see much .380 around here, which makes the ammo significantly unattractive. :PI tend to lean towards rounds that are easy to come by near me in large amounts… Not sure what you call that, but I like easy to come by ammo all the same. ;)A 9mm round or 3 will put a threat down in pistol range every time, I don’t fully understand the hate on it, kinda like 5.56 which frankly has killed many and a threat in my experience… Both are probably only slight less available than 12g, which is like dumbly available in crazy amounts everywhere… lolz

@seven PPQ is significantly larger than P938. The normal PPQ is G19 sized and the SK is G26 sized, including in thickness. Also, it's a striker fired gun with no thumb safety.Personally, I used to find P938 ugly, because they took P238 and made it worse. In addition, the durability of it was always in question, simply because nobody engineered it for 9mm, just slapped together and hoped for the best. I'm getting used to its look, but its pitiful capacity and questionable longevity are all still there.@shibao

@shibao @seven Oh yeah, I forgot to rage about the problems of FT Bullseye, especially in SIG's SAS implementation.SIG managed to machine slides after they were finished, or didn't finish them right. So there's a massive rust problem under the sight's body.The sight is not adjustable - at all. So if it comes true from SIG, fine. If it's not, a trip back to factory is required.There is no backup irons and the sight tends to break light pipes, so the ring loses segments. If that happens, you have no recourse.And to top it all, the accuracy of FT Bullseye is poor. Most people cannot judge by how much the dot is off in the ring as well as they can with irons.Honestly I wonder if Mepro screwed the pooch on them, especially with reliability. Mepolights are bomb-proof. Maybe they subcontracted FT Bullseye to some losers, I dunno.

@gat @seven hmm, i'll have to look into this more. just playing around with it in the store it seemed accurate and really easy to gauge how far it was from the ring edge, but the rust issues are def worth a look since the p365 already had rust issues with normal sights. they seemed pretty durable to me but maybe now that they've been out for a while i can get more data

Well of course you get the advantage of a snag-free gun intended for very close ranges. But then remember how Jack Wilson had to take a headshot in a crowded church, so that's your real life accuracy test.

@jamesrichardson @shibao @seven The P938/Micro 9/911.9 are the variations on the same concept: P238 re-chambered. Personally I prefer 911, because it comes with an ambidextrous safety. People you are used to running a GI 1911 with their left hand will find that they cannot disengage the safety with the knuckle on 911: it can only be done by throwing the thumb over, and that's asking for dropping the gun, especially when in contact with attacker. Some Kimbers Micro models have ambi safeties, but not all.

I carry clocked n' locked on my right 4 o'clock so I prefer not having another safety lever on the outside to potentially bump against something and disengage unintentionally.Probably pretty trivial to swap for an Ambi safety, if you wanted it. I initially planned on buying a 911 but at the time they were hard to find and I found this brand new Kimber on sale for 40% off at Field and Stream. Couldn't pass.

I should work on that, it just always feels unnatural...That said when running my p30 it's roughly at 6 of all places, and my p99 is more like 9 when I carry it. With regular and rigorous practice, I'd flush it in 3 months. Same story with my .45 ammo, although not at such scale.

@jamesrichardson @seven @shibao Ironically enough, I don't keep green tip around, M193 only. I have too many rifles with 1:12 barrels, like my 1976 Mini-14. I tried 62gr ammo in it and indeed it keyholes.

@seven @gat @shibao I have a sweet setup with a 7.5" barrel and suppressor. And a Odinworks dual-spring Buffer stock. Also a CMC straight, single-stage trigger. It shoots a dream.

@shibao @gat @seven I found it with one of my distributors in 120rd battle packs which are nice. They are on stripper clips and the whole thing is sealed for storage until you need it.
