       @RikaDerufu I remember the moment I realized western comics were shit and more for women than boys.  It was in the mid 2000s when LiveJournal was still a thing and scans_daily was up.  Lots of cringey femoid discussion on comics which had gone from being a male power fantasy and thought exercise in the primacy of different superpowers to a really gay, introspective character study into things like Tony Stark's alcoholism or Peter Parker's relationship with Aunt May and Mary Jane.That's why shounen anime/manga took over.
