       @Fullycaffeinated thank you.No. No time off. There is no time off. We are so short staffed that I don't know how my hospital is functioning. I heard a rumor that there were 145 unfilled shifts on Thursday night. I have no idea if that is true, but I do know that some units are approving overtime on pre-booked shifts. That is, IME, unprecedented.I probably should stop talking, now, before I get myself in trouble for 'breaking confidentiality', which is what they usually accuse nurses of if we talk about our working conditions. I have no wish to be blacklisted or fined.

       @GrumpyOldNurse @theAVclub @Fullycaffeinated sending you hugs. There is nothing more stressful. The nurses I work with datix every shift they have to work short. As they are so worried that something will happen and they will be blamed for the avoidable harm and not reporting that that staffing levels were unsafe.

Blood should be on the hands of those who put everyone in this situation, not those holding it together with ducktape and a prayer.

       @GrumpyOldNurse @Fullycaffeinated because blacklisting the remaining nurses is totes going to help more people to volunteer to join up, wot with the friendly and supportive working conditions.Don't worry the managers will all pitch in to fill the shifts. And give up a portion of their salaries to cover the costs of training.Just thought maybe you needed a laugh.
