Wow. She just called me and let me know she left the dog at our last place, and that she didn't want to have anything to do with him. He was HER service dog, and the place I'm at now I just straight up can't keep him. Who does this, except a completely inconsiderate human being.Well, if anyone's in central Florida and wants a potty trained 1 y/o GSD, or knows someone who does... ;-;

@Flick yep. I don't want to put him in a shelter because he just doesn't deserve that. He's a good dog. If I had the ability to take care of him, I would in a heartbeat. If nothing else, this is going to be the reason I completely cut contact with her. Normal, good people don't just do shit like this to an innocent dog.

@maiden They really don’t. I get worried if I have to leave Dog alone for more than a couple of hours, this is just cruel. IDK if puppy prices have gone as nuts there as here, but if they have, and he’s reasonably well trained, you should be able to re-home him relatively easily. It’s a popular, safe breed and he’s past the potty training and chewing phase. I know you’ve got everything going on right now, but please vet his new home.

Update because a lot of you were rightfully concerned: I easily found him a home!! He's living on a private acre with a retired RN who's own GSD recently passed away at 17 years. I vetted her and her house & vet, everything went swimmingly. He's now got a good and safe home where he's loved.
