@Clariana SNP changed their campaign tools to some American voter/supporter electronic data base at the tail end of the 00s. It was a massive boost to them in terms of how they organised, but it also meant that their face to face engagement lessened and they've become heavily reliant on online campaigning. They were one of the first major political parties in the UK to do this, the rest all followed, but as a result they're also starting to show the risks of the digital bubble in terms of echo chambers and accountability. It has been really interesting to watch, similar with the Beeb, who were one of the first big UK media outlets to really invest and throw themselves into their news website in the mid 90s, at the expense of professionalism and journalistic integrity. These two are the forerunners of the new digital political era, the test cases in action so to speak.
