       Just discovered Clear linux. Anyone have experience with it? Apparently the performance is outworldish.

       @Santral the optimizations of Clear Linux are the same than the ones you would obtain from compiling the kernel specifically for your processor

       @werwolf I think this is only partially true, as I would expect other kinds of improvements, such as disabling features and changing clock frequency. Did you read this somewhere? I couldn't find anything in their documentation. Thanks!

       @Santral I read it when the distribution was announced and there were a ton of posts about it everywhere. I don't remember where.Anyway, you can disable and enable features and change pretty much anything when creating your own custom kernel. You can do this when installing distros likes CRUX or Gentoo
